Geoffrey Omedo is a sustainable development specialist with over 15 years of experience within the Government and the United Nations system (United Nations Development Program – UNDP, United Nations Industrial Development Organization-UNIDO, United Nations Office for Project Services – UNOPS, United Nations Volunteers Program – UNV) specifically on issues of sustainable development, environmental management, climate change, food security, governance among others. He is currently the Knowledge Community Manager for the Sustainable Energy Community of Practice within the Istanbul Regional Hub. Mr. Omedo holds a master’s degree in Environmental Planning and Management and a Bachelor of Science degree in Meteorology from the University of Nairobi. He is finalizing his Ph.D. in Environmental Law at the University of Nairobi’s Centre for Advanced Studies in Environmental Law and Policy (CASELAP).
